Gassic-Foreign Film Gub, whose 7:30 Tuesday night showings will feature the return of such favorite films as The Ladykillers, The Red Shoes, Fellini’s La Strada and others to the large screen. More than 80 members have already joined the club, and other are urged to sign up now. Membership for the first five-film series is $12.50.
The Friday-Saturday schedule of popular films, already a hit, will be continued. “We have Star Wars, Urban Cowboy, a Woody Allen double feature, and lots of good movies scheduled,” said Allan. “Our audience likes our friendly atmosphere and says the consistent quality of our films is better family entertainment than the usual drive-in fare."
Use of the stage for the annual Rappahannock talent show, dance performances of the Last Minute Wood Company, and benefit events to be sponsored by community organizations is also planned.

“We have lots of untapped talent right here in our backyard,” Allan pointed out, “and a large population who genuinely appreciate the dramatic arts, visual arts, and good music. We want folks to plan in advance, carpool with friends, and come on out and have fun. Mountain Magic was formed to bring the arts and this audience together. To succeed, we really need everyone’s support.”
