made on the basis of versatility. We looked for cast members who were strong in three areas—singing, dancing and acting. Some, particularly the kids, were very good in two and not so strong in the third.
“We had so many really adorable young people try out. I would have liked to use more of them for the lost boys and the Indians but we were limited by the size of the stage. I want to do future productions which could use the very rich talent we found among Rappahannock's young people. I’m so thrilled by the talent in our community!” said the director.
Delevitt, who will play Peter Pan in the production, will be joined by Nancy Proctor, David Fisher and Willie Arias as Wendy, John and Michael Darling. Waldron O’Connor and Libby Snead were selected for the roles of Mr. and Mrs. Darling, Cindy Pronevitz for Liza. Steve Hostetter tor Captain Hook, Nan Smith for Tiger Lily and John Moyles for the joint role of the ticking crocodile and Nana the nurse dog.
The lost boys will be Jonah Waggener. Chad Bear. Cory Demitt, Tara Fisher and Noah Waggener. the pirates. George Anderson, Robert Haase. Michael Connifey and Johanna Day and the Indians Sheree Waggener, Janice Cullen and Susannah McClellan. Still to be cast are the parts of Wendy as a grown up and Smee, the right hand man of the evil Captain Hook. Anyone interested should contact Delevitt at 675-3412. Peter Pan will be presented at Mountain Magic Cinema on April 30 and May 1 and 2 with additional performances scheduled for the following weekend if ticket sales warrant. Rehearsals began. Lenten Service
Ecumenical Lenten services will continue March 18 at Trinity Episcopal parish hall in Washington with Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville responsible for the program. The evening begins with a covered dish supper which begins at 6:15.
