Gen. Hugh Exton has been appointed special gifts chairman to lead the drive in Rappahannock County to raise funds for the American Red Cross.
In a departure from previous practice, the drive this year is being conducted by mail because the high cost of gasoline and the uncertainty of late-winter weather make a . mail campaign more practical.
