In collaboration with WEER Radio, the theater will become monthly host to the Mountain Magic Concert Series. Rappahannock native son and internationally known blues recording artist John Jackson will lead off the 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon concerts on April 5. In May, the popular country rock sound of The OK’s Band will be heard, followed in June by a bluegrass jamboree. Advance tickets ($3) are reommended for these events.
The Rappahannock Players will offer a series of one-act and full-length dramas, plus student drama apprentice programs, on the new 18 foot x 24 foot stage. The gripping, award winning short play Refugee will open Sunday, March 15, at 7:30 p.m. followed by the everpopular Peter Pan in late April, and other dramatic presentations on July 4 and in the fall.
