“I certainly hope we won’t find ourselves sitting here doing the same thing next year,” said Charles Eldred, adding that the subject of space needs and capital improvements has been "almost worn out with no positive action over several years.”
He acknowledged that the current board is not made up of the same members who have considered capital outlay proposals in the past. “This board can distinguish itself from those earlier boards by acting differently,” he concluded.
With no further speakers, chairman Beverly Massie called an end to the time set aside for public input on capital outlay. According to the chairman, the subject will be taken up again by the board at its regular March 10 meeting.
