center decided to provide comfortable accommodations for its "campers” rather than the rustic out-under-the-stars sleeping usually associated with camping. “We say that camping is a state of mind rather than where you sleep,” he joked. ‘‘We want to provide courses and seminars that furnish really substantial information to our service area. With these facilities, there's nothing that we can’t arrange from receptions to meetings to 4-H instruction.”
Dooley is sincere about his desire to respond to what the community wants for the center. "We need to hear from everyone who has children in Rappahannock 4H about what they want to see the center offer,” he said. “We also want county adults to tell us how we can serve them.” He invited anyone interested in seeing the center to come by for a tour and to speak to him personally.
