This year’s 4-H day camp at Hazel River was a foreign affair.
Groups of campers and their junior leaders were named after foreign countries—France. Italy, Spain and Mexico. When it came down to the “Olympic” competition held on the last day of camp, they really were like countries—planning strategy and becoming nations at war. When the winners were announced, however, international fueds were forgotten as everyone happily awaited their turn in the camp pool.
