Eastham concluded by noting that the special use permit issue is of “fundamental importance, involving not only the integrity of the present school board but also of future boards for years to come and affecting their ability to carry out their duty to supervise public school of Virginia in this county.”’
Although the chairman of the board of supervisors had received Eastham’s letter prior to Monday’s board meeting, the Wakefield representative’s request was not discussed and no action was taken to seek an Attorney General’s opinion. Eastham was present at Monday’s session but did not address the board of supervisors.
Tax Seminar

A seminar on how to save money on your unemployment insurance tax will be held on Thursday, October 7, at 2 p.m. in Meeting Room of the Central Fidelity Bank, Southgate Mall.
The seminar is being sponsored by the Employer Advisor Committee of the Culpeper office of the Virginia Employment Commission.
The speaker will be Robert Barry, Assistant State Attorney General. All employers and interested persons in the Culpeper VEC local office area are invited to attend.
