Gladys Mozingo

Retired Companion

Mrs. Gladys Gertrude Mozingo, 69, of Rixeyville died Tuesday, October 5, 1982, at Culpeper Health Care Center.

Mrs. Mozingo was a native of Rappahannock County and had lived in Rixeyville for many years. She was the daughter of the late George Ernest and Neva Florence Nicholson Dodson. Her husband was the late John Walker Mozingo. Mrs. Mozingo was a retired companion and a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gladys P. Jeffries of Rixeyville; five grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Nellie Nicholson of Stephens City, Mrs. Mae Settle of Rixeyville, Mrs. Bertie Hackley and Mrs. Mattie Hackley, both of Amissville and Mrs. Florence Smith of Fairfax and four brothers, Eugene and Acrey Dodson, both of Viewtown, Robert Dodson of Bealeton and Milton Dodson of Aurora, Calif.

A funeral service, conducted by the Rev. James Crane, will be held Thursday (today) at 2 p.m. at Clore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Gourdvine Cemetery in Rixeyville.
