1975 — Planning began simultaneously by 4-H leaders, 4-H members, business leaders, and Virginia Tech Extension Division staff for the development of a District 4H Educational Center.
1976 — A group of farsighted citizens proposed the building of a 4-H Educational Center. The Administration of Virginia Tech, the 4-H Department, and business and civic leaders gave their endorsement and encouragement. The Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center was chartered as a non- prfit corporation by the State Corporation Commission.
