Mrs. Carver was born in evergreen, 5. C., a aaugnier of the late W. H. and Hattie Carter Worrell. She attended Florence County schools and Winthrop College and was a graduate of Wilson's Teachers College of Washington, D. C. She lived in Florence County most of her life, for 34 years in Arlington. 10 years in Rappahannock County and for the past three years in Hyman.
Mrs. Carver taught school for 50 vears and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and its WMU. She was married to the late Clinton Gause and then to the late Oliver Carver.
Surviving are a son, Henry Lee Gause of Hyman; one daughter, Mrs. Wilma Gause Ockerman of Redding, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Jean Carver Price of Arlington; eight grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Joe Worrell of Marion, S. C. and Jack Worrell of Sumter, S. C. and three sisters, Mrs. P. W. Webster of Lake City. S. C., Mrs. Ruth Tindal of Marion, S. C. and Mrs. Aubrey Grice of Conway. S. C.
