Larceny Victim*
For larceny victims, the program’s volunteers work to have stolen items which have been recovered by the sheriffs department but held for evidence returned to the owners. “We ask the law enforcement officials to take a photograph of the stolen property to use in court proceedings,” Wodell explained. "We keep in contact with larceny victims. We send them restitution forms, fill them in on what’s happening with the case—if the defendant has been released on bond, where the defendant is, who are the attorneys involved, etc.,” she said.
