Neill, the Owls numero uno scoring machine, headed the ball in on a cross from left wing Bobby Polk and the Owls had a 4-0 lead. Tandem managed a goal that put the score at 4-1 at halftime. But the Owls quickly rebounded as the omnipresent O'Neill scored his 12th goal of the year on an almost exact same play on a cross from Polk. The score was 5-1 at halftime.

The second team went in for the second half and managed one goal as halfback Scott Favre booted the ball in on a pass from Hansen. Tandem scored one more goal, but Wakefield had already wrapped the score up for a 6-2 Wakefield victory.

The previous two weeks. Wakefield posted two wins over Randolph Macon Academy versus a loss to Fauquier’s junior high school all-stars.

The first RMA game took place on Thursday, Oct. 14, with Wakefield victorious in a nailbiting 2-1 overtime thriller. RMA opened the scoring and took a 1-0 advantage. Wakefield, though the aggressor throughout the game, was afflicted with a constant ineptness to score.
