NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARINGS
Pursuant to Section 17-3 of the Rappahnnock County Zoning Ordinance, 1973, and Section 15.1-431 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, notice is hereby given that on the evening of Wednesday, November 17, 1982, at 7:30 p.m. at the Courthouse building, Washington, Virginia, the Rappahannock County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the following proposed text amendments to the Rappahannock County Zoning Ordinance:
(1) Robert Bowers, et. ux. of Amissville, Virginia have applied for a text amendment to Article two of the Zoning Ordinance to allow gun ranges with a special use permit in an Agricultural District, provided certain listed conditions and restrictions are observed.
(2) The trustees of the Promised Land Baptist Church have applied for a text amendment to Article Two of the Ordinance to allow "churches" with a special use permit ih an Agricultural District. The Commission will also consider amending Article 19 by addition of a definition of the term "church."
Copies of the proposed amendments are on file at the Zoning Office and available for inspection on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00 to 4:30. Interested parties are invited to inspect the proposals and present their views on the applications at the public hearing, or to submit their written comments to the Planning Commission in care of the Zoning Administrator on or before November 17, 1982.
