Topics will include: pesticide safety and container disposal, pruning practices that cause vigor problems, turning water sprout problems into fruiting wood, pest control in peaches and apples, soil and leaf analysis and tree row volume as a graphic means of determining rate per acre.
No preregistration is necessary and everyone is welcome.
February 23 - Area Forage Conference, Middleburg Community Center, 9:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Topics will include: making alfalfa stands last longer by controlling weeds, insect control, proper fertilization and harvesting, forage research with varieties, no-till seeding and management, using large plastic bags for storing forage, the forage program on a dairy farm.
