Last Friday, the Rappahannock Panthers tried to avenge an earlier defeat at the hands^of William Monit*e, arch rival and coach Doyle Dawson’s alma mater. They managed only to shave one i>oint off the difference, losing 53-41. (The first meeting ended with the Dragons on top, 59-4H.)
"It was the worst game we played all year.” admitted coach Dawson. He attributed the Panthers' sloppy performances to the unexpected two-week layoff forced bv cancellation of both games and practice sessions due to bad weather.
