Record breaking cold temperatures have certainly played a part in everyone’s social life, causing them to stay close by the home fires. However, the best part of January has to be when the flower and vegetable seed catalogs start to arrive.
A little early planning can do wonders for your gar* S den and it is truly a delight trying to decide which tomato, cucumber, bean, lettuce or corn variety is the best. My favorite is trying to select a new pepper, watermelon, cantaloupe, beet, radish or carrot. - And of 'course we can never forget those flowers, whether it be snapdragons, sunflowers, zdnnas, asters, mums, marigolds or dozens of others in all of their brilliant display of color. A nice flowering hedge, lilac bush, dogwood, pussy willow or ivy vine always adds charm and makes a yard breathtaking. So, on a cold day, get a catalog, place an order and wait for spring to arrive.
