During the past week, I was elected to the post of Assistant Minority Leader, a new opportunity to be of service and to utilize my experience.
On Wednesday morning, the GOP leadership met with the representatives of the Virginia Education Association to discuss their program and concerns. There is still a great deal of talk on the tax increases. However, I do not think those proposals have support.
• During 1982, approximately 52 percent of Virginia’s high school graduates took SAT or college board tests and they tied for 7th place with Massachusetts students at a score of 888. Pennsylvania students at 885 were just below Virginia and Maryland students at 889 ranked just above us. This is very interesting in view of the increasing need for higher education and the ever increasing competition
