Mrs. Florence William Burke, 82, of Washington, died Wednesday, April 4, 1984, at the Annaburg Manor in Manassas.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday at the Gid Brown Bible Church near Washington by the Rev. John K. Burke. Burial was in the Washington Masonic Cemetery.
Mrs. Burke was bom March 13,1902, in Washington, daughter of the late William and Minnie Riley Foster. Her husband was the late Gabe Burke.
Survivors include five sons, Moses Burke of Accokeek, Md., William G. Burke of Arlington, James Davis Burke and Rannie T. Burke, both of Manassas and Paul H. Burke of Washington; five daughters, Helen Smoot of Washington, Cecil Baldwin of Sperryville, Mary Ida Owens of Broad Run, Doris Payne of Kearneysville, West Virginia and Janet Alther, also of Sperryville; 33 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Violet Baldwin and a son, Charles Lewis Burke.
Also surviving is one brother, James Foster of Flint Hill.
Pallbearers were Thomas Baldwin, Jr., Danny Baldwin, Roy Reeve, Steve Alther, Kenny Burke and William Joseph Walter.
