Fauquier Comity’s Parks and Recreation Department has announced a spring series of tuition classes that cover a wide range of interests.

Registration deadline is Monday, April 16. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis by mail or in person during regular business hours at the Parks and Rec office at 14 Main Street, Warrenton, Va. 22186 (telephone 347-8630). The office will also be opened this Saturday, April 14, from 9 a.m. to noon for registration.

In the general and self-improvement category, classes include novice dog obedience, cake decorating, genealogy, interior decorating, introduction to stocks and bond8, knitting, make-up and grooming for teens, modeling for teens and for ages 9-12, photography and know your car for women.

Dance courses in ballet for children 4-6, tap for ages nine and up and flashdance jazz are also planned.

In the area of arts and crafts, courses include model airplane building, beginning acrylics for teens and adults, tole painting, fabric painting, stained glass, wood carving, art for children ages 9-14 and fundamentals of drawing for adults.

Physical fitness classes include slimnastics, dancerdse, me ’n’ my mom, martial arts for ages 6-12 and for teenagers and adults, dance aerobics, slim and trim andjazzercise.
