High School Expansion
While the RCES roof deserves high priority, we hope the long delayed expansion of the high school isn’t sacrificed for the repair project. The proposed 1964-86 budget includes $53,634 under architectural services for drawings and detailed cost analysis. It’s a start towards a capital outlay progress that was first justified in 1976.
The high school has been overcrowded since the day it opened. Few will dispute that fact. In the current year, enrollment stands at 420 in a building with classroom space for 386 and base facilities (cafeteria, library, bathrooms, office and storage) designed for 286.
