Crafts
The RUSH RIVER COMPANY has a wide variety of handcrafts from local artists. In addition to handweaving, comhusk dolls and hand-stenciling, some special creations are currently on display: JUNE JORDAN’S new direction in pottery, a collection of birds - exquisitely detailed in form, face and feather - including a goose, an eagle, a kite and stately “Rooster Bob”; a group of arresting portraits of children, mothers and children and cats by SUSAN REED in Early American Primitive style, each with an intricate stendled-wallpaper background; and the popular pottery of JANET BROME, featuring her unique orangeglazed and humorous animal imagery.
