JASON SCHULTZ, a first grader, did a stand-up comedy routine of his own creation, in which a substitute teacher, “Jason the Joker”, tries to win his class’ attention with his witty twoliners. Jason’s favorite: “How do you milk a cow?” “One way or the udder!”
LOREN SCIURBA won first place in the Upper School. Loren had planned to perform a song along with three others. However, sickness and miscommunication had combined to leave him with no fellow singers and no accompaniment. ] Rather than abandon his performance, he substituted Bob Dylan’s song “Tangled Up in Blue” at the last minute for his own original hit “Terminal Desire” (co-authored with Chris Ralph). He sang a cape 11a and performed a vocal imitation of Dylan’s inimitable mouth harp.
Musicians rarely attempt ' to duplicate Dylan’s kound even with a hatp in hahd. This talented young performer may be seen the first weekend in May among the cast of “WHERE I’M COMING FROM.”
