Because he came forward to the sheriff on his own to help with the investigation, William Menefee received a 90 day suspended sentence and was assigned 20 hours community service for his part in a larceny during the Rappahannock Point-to-Point.
Menefee had been charged with receiving stolen goods in the March 3 incident. But Judge John Alexander accepted the recommendation from Commonwealth’s Attorney Peter Luke to sentence Menefee to community service because of his helpfhl attitude towards the police.
