Rappahannock walkers will start around the exercise trail at the county park at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, then wind through the town of Washington and back for another trip on the trail. They'll make the three mile circuit to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
“There are some 30,000 children and young people in this country who need our help in the fight to eradicate cystic fibrosis,” said Jinnie Beattie, Washington resident who is organizing the local walk-a-thon. “While we go about our business of work and play, these kids are struggling everyday just to eat and breathe. The best way to help them is by raising as much money as possible for more research and treatment programs. ”
