For Bomberger auditions must have been a nolose situation when he faced all the talent he himself had groomed. For the students it meant five days of tryouts and call-backs and grueling waiting. Finally Bomberger announced the cast. “The excellent calibre of student in this cast promises another enjoyable experience in the theater arts,” he told parents.
Now in its third week of rehearsal, the cast is learning the Rogers and Hammerstein score under the direction of music director Judy Bomberger. Then they will hit the boards to be blocked, coached and polished by Bomberger in closed rehearsals.
Finally everyone will see something wonderful when the play opens at the high school on May 25.
