Students and parents, don’t forget the Rappahannock County Elementary School’s Halloween “FUN FAIR" this Saturday, October 27th starting at 10 a.m. in the school auditorium. There will be lots of delicious goodies such as fresh baked cakes, brownies and cookies, plus popcorn? And you wouldn’t want to miss all those ghosts, games and the famous Haunted House with ghastly spirits floating about. The proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards the 7th grade field trip to Williamsburg in the spring, a real worthy and educational cause!
Recently, George and Iris Beebe had a wonderful visit from their daughter, Cynthia and her husband, Bryan Brower from Audobon, Pa. Audobon is near Valley Forge where we sadly remember the “Winter of Despair" when during the Revolutionary War, General George Washington and his men endured the most miserable conditions as they camped in the winter of 1777 and 1778 with little clothing or food, and crude huts that they built themselves. More than 3,000 men died there for our freedom today. Please vote on November 6th, Election Day, for the best candidate!!!!

A Welcome Surprise!
David Johnson and Mary McCloy of Woodville are the proud parents of a son, Gabriel Vaughn McCloy Johnson born at home on Thursday, October 18. Gabriel weighed eight pounds and 13 ounces.
Grandparents of the infant are Wilfred Eugene McCloy of Chantilly and Patricia P. McCloy of Northern Virginia.
Gabriel also has a brother, Kristofer M.M. Plummer, age four.
