On Saturday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m., five county homes will have dining room tables set to host the 3rd annual Elegant Country Suppers, a benefit event from which proceeds are donated to The Child Care and Learning Center to help with annual operating expenses.
Traditionally this has been an occasion for those persons interested in The Center to become better acquainted while having the opportunity to share what have come to be regarded as some of the best home-prepared meals in the county.
This years’ offerings promise to be no exceptions. Included in the five different menus are broiled Indonesian pork sate marinated in peanut sauce; rolled stuffed flank steak; kiwi sherbet; and an authentic Mexican dinner that leaves the more familiar Tex-Mex combinations longitudes behind.
