Forty Ruritan members and

visitors were privileged last Wednesday to partake of the fine dinner served by the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fire Department and to join in the election of new officers. Pres. Gilbert Lawrence called for a slate of nominees, which included those of the nominating committee and others offered from the floor. The results showed handsome, blond and personable Nelson Burner as president, Edward Lawrence as vice-president, Jerry Curtis as secretary, and Charlie Priest as treasurer.

“Cooperatives: Progress Through People” is the theme ol the October 1969 Co-op month. H. S. Barksdale, Chairman of the Rappahannock County Agricultural Stabilisation and Conservation (ASC) Committee announced.
