Alfred Ashby Jenkins, 88, of Culpeper, formerly of Boston, died Wednesday, October 17 at Culpeper Manorial Hospital.

A native of Rappahannock Couty, he was a member of the Culpeper Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mae Florence Frazier Jenkins; two daughters, Mrs. Littleton Fincham and Mis. Everette Hoffman, both of Culpeper; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a brother, Rosser Jenkins ofManassas.

Funeral services were held on Sunday at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper by the Rev. William C. Smith assisted by the Rev. W.W. Martin. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery at Culpeper.

Pallbearers were Havard Marcus, Lewis Deal, Leon Shanks, Leroy Nicholson, Wussy Gilmore, Russel Cave, John Miller and Julius Williamson.
