Visits Nicaragua
A Berryville woman who recently returned from two weeks in war-torn Nicaragua said the natives are friendly to American visitors even though they resent U.S. financing of guerilla activities against their government.
Kathy Edwards said the people seem more relaxed since the revolution which excised the Somoza government. The guerillas or “contras” are those left over from Somoza’s rale.
