Rappahannock Library’s first theatre bus trip to see and hear the ( film “Amadeus” is set for November 13. reports Mary Jamieson.
Special theatre ticket prices have been obtained by Truman Keesey, who also has chartered round trip a 45-pasaenger bus to take participants to the KB Cinema Theatre, Bailey’s Cross Roads, where Amadeus is being shown. Cost wil be $10 per person. The bus will return by 10 p.m. “This trip is an outstanding bargain,” Mrs. Jamieson notes.

Sheriff Invites Citizens
To Join Institute To
Support Crimefighters
Rappahannock Sheriff John Henry Woodward is inviting citizens to become members of the Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute. The Virginia Sheriffs’ Association, through its affiliate organization, the Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute, is able to offer associate memberships to citizens through a mail campaign. The funds raised in this campaign are used to provide management training and other educational programs for Virginia’s sheriffs.
Associate members may join when they receive the invitation by sending $15 or more (tax deductible) to the Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute, 121 Wyck Street, Suite 108, Richmond, VA 23225. In return, Associate members receive one year’s subscription to the Virginia Sheriff, a magazine published quarterly, a membership card, windshield decal and two bumper stickers indicating support of the Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute.
Sheriff Woodward says that all of the funds are used by the statewide organization to improve professionalism in sheriffs offices throughout Virginia.
