Some of them were born with mental or emotional handicaps and tome lost a portion of their mental capacity due to accidents, but all of the people at the FORE Workshop share a need to work.
Work was what a group from FORE was doing recently on Patricia Sahonstall’s Points of View Farm. FORE stands for the Facility for Occupational Rehabilitation Enterprise, which is a non-profit, private organization based in Remington, Va.
Saltonstall has been using workers from the facility to pick up rocks in her Selds since 1961. “We’re the only farm n the area using these workers, and lie FORE workers are perfect for so naay of the tedious jobs that no one slse likes to do,” said Saltonstall.
