The Rappahannock Water and Sewer Authority held its regular meeting on Thursday, May 2 and the members were told by Hank Gerhart, engineer with Buchart-Horn, Inc. of Williamsburg, that construction of the Sperryville Sewage System has begun.
“The plant contractor is making progress, although he’s having a tough time finding fill dirt,” Gerhart said. “The sewer line contractor has about three miies of sewer line staked out and he’s waiting on materials to get here b fore he starts, but I would anticipate him starting within a week to 10 days.” That adds up to the system being “relatively underway,” Gerhart said.
