Ada Updike

Baptist Churchwoman

Mrs. Ada Noakes Updike, 86, of. Washington, died Friday, May 3 in Royal Haven Ni ig Home in Front Royal.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday at Washington Baptist Church by the Rev. Steven Scoggin. Burial was in the Washington Masonic Cemetery.

Mrs. Updike was bom November 4, 1899, in Rappahannock County, daughter of the late William R. and Julia Pullen Noakes. She was a former Sunday School teacher and lifelong member of Washington Baptist Church. She was married to the late Gilbert Lee Updike.

Surviving are a sister, L. Myrtle Pullen of Front Royal and a number of nieces and nephews.
