public and private school students in grades K-12.
There will be three categories: painting and drawing; sculpture; and photography. Students may submit entries in as many categories as they wish.
Oils, pastels, acrylics, watercolor, pencil, pen and ink and charcoal will be included in the first category. There will be three classifications: beginner (grades K-3), intermediate (grades 47), and advanced (grades 8-12).
In the categories of sculpture and photography there will be only two classifications: grades K-7 and grades 8-12.
Judging will be done by a professional artist. Cash prizes of up to $10 will be awarded to the winners in each c gory, and a plaque will be awarded to the school having the greatest number of winners.
There is no charge for entry or admission to the show. Interested artists should contact the school at 635-8111 for more details and entry forms. Entry forms must arrive at the school no later than May 14. Entries for the show should arrive by 5 p.m. Thursday, May 16 or 10 a.m. Friday, May 17. Judging will begin at 5 p.m.
