If you have wheat, barley or oats on your farm, you should report your planted acres by June 1 to the Rappahannock County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service Office. Land set aside for acreage conservation reserve (ACR) must also be designated by June 1 if you are participating only in the acreage reduction program for these crops.
If you have a base for any of these crops, but have nothing planted, then you should file a “ZERO” report. Acreage reports should be filed on a fieldby-field basis. Corn, sorghum and soybeans should be reported to this office assoon as plantings are complete.
We also are taking reports for all forage (hay) crops, fruit trees or truck crops. These reports are for Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) purposes in the event you may wish to have crop insurance in the future.
