Tracey Leigh Bolyard of Keyser, West Virginia has been awarded Shepherd College’s highest academic honor.
A junior elementary education major, she was named a Joseph McMurran Scholar at the college’s annual Honors Day Assembly on March 28. ..
To be selected as a McMurr»n Scholar, students must complete at least 80 semester hours, maintain a 3.7 grade point average and receive the unanimous vote of their instructors.
A graduate of Keyser High School, Bolyard is a member of Shepherd’s Student National Education Association.
She is the daughter of Larry and Joan Bolyard of West Virginia and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nethers of Sperry ville.
