The boys’ teams overall scores for the meet on April 24 were Strasburg, 90, Brentsville, 40, and Rappahannock, 34. David Fischbein placed first in the pole vault with of 12’ that set a new school record, and James Dennis was first in the high jump with 57”.
Second placers were Ricky Shaw in the high jump with 5’6”, David Fischbein in the 100 hurdles with a time of 17.1 that set a new school record and in the 300 hurdles with a time of 43.8, and James Dennis in the 400 i with a time of 54.8.
Placing third in their events were j Jimmie Freeman in the 100 hurdles with a time of 18.0, James Lilly in the discus with a 917 1/2W throw, Mathew Frye in the shot put with 39’8 1/2”, Jonathan Watson in the mile with a time of 5:09.7, and Ricky Shaw in the 800 with a time of 2:18.3. • ■ .
The girls’ results were Strasburg, 67 1/2, Brentsville, 53 1/2, and Rappahannock, 23. The only first placer for the Rappahannock girls was Katheryn Davis in tfie long jump with 15’3 3/4”.
