Mrs. Carlton Aylor and daughter, Ruby Lee Hawath of Glendale, California visited Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lillard one day this week.
On Sunday the young people of Etlan and Bethlehem United Methodist Churches were in charge of the services. They were both very inspiring services.
Shirley and Lewis Jenkins of Etlan talked on “Serving God by Caring for his People.” Both Lewis and Shirley are very active in the Madison Rescue Squad. Lewis is with Pegasus and works out of University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.
There was special music at Etlan by a group of young people consisting of Greg Aylor, Travis Lillard, Mr. and Mrs. Whit Cheston, Daryl Dixon, Mark Jenkins and the pastor, the Rev. Jimmy Taylor. After services at Etlan a most delicious covered dish was served and enjoyed by all. Quite a few from Bethlehem also attended services at Etlan.
On Tuesday, April 30th, Mr. and Mrs. Festus Hudson, Jr. were in Sterling for the candlelight wedding of their son, Festus Hudson, III to Miss Karen Lewis.
Mr. and Mrs. L. Nelson Revercomb of Arlington spent the weekend at Nel-Mar.
Mrs. Everette Yowell was a Sunday caller of her son and daughter-inlaw, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Yowell.
Cary Hudson of Sterling was a weekend guest of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Festus Hudson, Jr. Richie Lillard was a guest of Cary’s for the weekend.
Sunday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Deal were Mrs. Paul Coates and daughter of Criglersville, John Deal and Johnathan of Hume, Gary Deal of Reva and Jean Dyer.
