Mrs. Lelia Anne Russell, 69, of Huntly, died Tuesday, July 9 at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday at the Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal by Elder Charlie Rucker. Burial was in the Russell family cemetery at Huntly.
Born on May 13, 1916, in Huntly, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Mary Russell Jett. She was a member of the Sandy Hook Baptist Church in Huntly and the Russell Cemetery Club. She had worked for Lelia Lucas of Huntly for a number of years.
Surviving are her husband, Abner T. Russell; two sons, Carroll S. Russell and Arthur W. Russell, both of Front Royal; four daughters, Mary L. Frye, Katherine K. Russell and Helena A. Russell, all of Huntly and Lillian g. Taylor of Front Royal and 11 grandchildren_ _
Additional survivors include two brothers, Thomas D. Jett of Huntly and Samuel M. Jett of Flint Hill and two sisters, Rebecca Rollins of Washington, D.C. and Adeline Myers of Flint Hill.
Pallbearers were Eugene Cook, Wilson Kilby, Robert Strother, James Washington, David Chunn, Walter Roy, Robdrt Jordan and Melvin Jordan.
