Michelle is a doctor at Georgetown University in Washington, D. C., and his wife Judy is employed with the State Department in Foreign Affairs which is also in the nation’s capital. Around 200 people attended the affair, most of them from the Washington, D. C., area.
The local people there were Chester and Mary Frances Fannon, Chester Fannon, Jr., J. T. and Melzie Woodward, Clint and Darlene Conover, Randy and Donna Sheads, Walter and Dale Grimsley, Howard and Diane Myers and children and John Henry and Peggy Woodward.
They all had a great time, reports J. T. Woodward, eating, drinking and being merry. The lively Hazel River Ramblers were playing foot stomping country music and fireworks were shot off at night and heard around Castleton. A hot air balloon arrived on the scene but the weather was too stormy for the crowd to go up for a ride.
