Rose* in Friday night’s womanless beauty contest held at the local elementary school was Larry Connors of Woodville. He was judged the prettiest lady. The beauty contest and associated program was sponsored for the benefit of the Sperryville Rescue Squad Fund and proceeds totaled $275.

celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary Sunday, June 25, with an open house at their home in Viewtown given by their son-inlaw and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. F. Wendell Latham of Fredericksburg.
Mr. and Mrs. Barron were married June 26, 1937, in Culpeper.

in celebration of the 200th year of the F.T. Valley Baptist Church were the oldest and youngest members of the congregation at the homecoming held Sunday. Ralph Yowell is the youngest and Mrs. Lillie Yowell the oldest member.
