It is the mission of Helen Holschuh and all others involved with the Historical Society to expose and preserve, among lesser things, the pearls of Rappahannock’s heritage. The story of Peyton Anderson’s encounter with the Yankees is one such pearl.
On August 2, the Rappahannock Historical Society will hold its quarterly meeting and annual picnic . Officers of the Society hope the occasion will prompt renewal of memberships and attract new ones. An adult memebership is $6; family membership is $10; a student may join for $2. People wishing to become members of the Historical Society should contact Edith Pond or Dorothy Davis.
