Water is essential to everyone having livestock. No matter how large or small your herd, or what kind of herd-horses, cattle or sheep-you must provide water.

Mr. and Mrs. William Dietel, with the assistance of the Soil Conservation Service, have developed a trough watering facility for their sheep on their farm near Flint Hill.

The Dietels had a spring that created wet areas in the field that made it undesirable for their flock of sheep. By installing a spring development, they were able to dry up the wet conditions and provide a clean, accessible water supply.
