Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Campbell visited their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Campbell, in Amissville on Sunday morning. Later in the evening they dropped by for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Camobell at Flint Hill. ^

Oh by the way, can anyone guess the Washington resident who was asked repeatedly by the same guy to dance at a social affair recently, but each time she refused?

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Jenkins spent the weekend in Harrisonburg.

Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Campbell of Front Royal are vacationing in Las Vegas, Nevada. Daniel is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Campbell.

Mrs. Ann Lockhart and daughter, Cindy Smith and children of Front Royal are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Galley Smith in Alabama, awaiting the birth of Mrs. Lockhart’s first great-grandchild. Mrs. Lockhart and Mrs. Leonard Campbell are sisters.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Blevins and children Heather and Christopher surprised their son and brother Scott with a 13th birthday party Sunday afternoon. Guests were Amy Lubles and Karen of Stephens City, Tommy Schoppet of Castleton, Edie Eastham, Noah Waggoner, David Mosher and Jessie Reynolds.

Scott Blevins is recuperating at home with a broken knee which he sustained while playing ball.

While talking with Diane Blevins this week, she told me about her horse named Isabella that gave birth to a colt on George Washington’s birthday in February of this year near the Town of Washington.

Now guess what Diane named that colt? Of course, “Washington.” Why not “George”, Diane? Oh well, who knows—this Washington colt might be a first also, but wonder what Diane will call it if it doesn’t come in first, maybe “Washed-out.”
