Former Rappahannock County sheriff John Walker Jenkins, his wife Alice Jenkins, and her son William Hale, who were arrested on January 11 on abduction charges, each pled guilty to lesser charges in Rappahannock County District Court on Tuesday.
The three were represented by their attorney George Freeman, who reached a plea bargain agreement with Commonwealth’s Attorney Peter Luke.
John Walker Jenkins pled guilty to a charge of assault. He received a six-month sentence, suspended on the condition of good behavior, and was fined $35 plus court costs.
Alice Jenkins pled guilty to brandishing a firearm and received a sixmonth sentence, also suspended on condition of good behavior, two days of which will be spent in jail.
