Supervisors, it is my hope that the new zoning administrator will be more uniform in administering those regulations to protect all residents of the county and in carrying out the mandate of the Comprehensive Plan (which is designed to benefit every citizen in this county) by providing for growth in, and from, those areas best prepared for it.
A consistent application will enable those of us who should be knowledgable, to be more forthright in giving our information. Certainly, most prospective buyers seek out Rappahannock County believing that here at last, they may be able to depend upon the zoning and not be subjected to the vageries of arbitrary and capricious decisions. I, for one, would like.to feel confident that when I endorse such thinking on the buyer’s part, I can do so without reservation.
