Superintendent 0. A. Norton will be at Rappahannock County High School on Thursday, March 17, at 8 p.m. to explain the necessary changes in the county school program and also the projected building plans proposed by the Rappahannock County School Board. The public is cordially invited and urged to attend.
The Town Council of Washington held its regular meeting Tuesday night and the operation of the town water system was the major item on the agenda. According to a court order by Judge Elliott Marshall, the Town of Washington was ordered to take over operation of the water system effective January 1, 1966. The water system had been in receivership for many years. George H. Davis, Jr., attorney for the town, read the court order and explained the steps for compliance.
