I am speaking only for myself as an individual who sells real estate here in Rappahannock, and has done so for seven years.
Heretofore, I had relied upon the guidelines set forth in the 1973 zoning ordinance when responding to my customers, concerning our zoning regulations. I have stated my interpretation and have encouraged customers to examine the ordinance. Of late, however, I have been uncomfortable about giving customers any sense of security regarding our ordinance since exceptions, and seeming violations have been reported which have eroded my confidences
The fact that we are in a “limbo” posture, too, hanging between two ordinances which are different, makes one feel especially vulnerable when offering information.
